Could someone suggest the proper areas that I could post such files?

Subject: Help needed for the HTX-202 please
I'm waiting for my tech license to arrive and I'm playing with my new
HTX-202. The manual says to clear all memory turn OFF the transceiver and
press F + CLR then turn on the transciever. I did this and nothing
cleared! Everything I put in was STILL there.
Also, When attempting to store a calling frequency I press CA and 146.000
keeps coming up on the display. I can't seem to store the frequency I want
in the memory. The freq I want to store doesn't require a subaudible tone.
I also noticed that when I activate the power save mode nothing seems
to happen. Any help or advice much appreciated!
Oh, one more question. What does listen on the input mean? I hear this
once in awhile. "I'll listen on the input". Like someone is checking there
signal or something. I know repeaters use an input and output frequency so
I imagine that has something to do with it.

Subject: HELP with AM or FM Transmission?
I am looking to set up a small local broadcasting system on AM or FM
frequencies for a number of factories in the area. What kind of
equipment am I looking for? I am completely new in the area of
broadcasting, so I don't know what I am talking about. What are the
rules/regulations for this? What kind of equipment do I need? I got the
idea from the local drive-in movie theater. A system like this would be
nice, only more powerful. I need a 5-mile transmission radius. ANY HELP
or ADVISE would be GREATLY appreciated! E-mail me any comments! Thanks

I'm looking for an ICOM 3200 dual band (2/70) mobile. Want to sell one?
If so, please E-mail me with details.
I'm also looking for tuning mods for the IC-3200. Anybody know if it will
tune up in to the VHF marine range, like 162.55 MHz (Wx #1). How about
VHF airband?
Thanks,

Same on my new 530. The new ones have a green wire near the bottom of the
radio. The wire loops from one pad right around to the other. I'd guess
that the wire in my unit was about 2" long, making the mod very easy. I
was told Yeasu did this because may people were damaging the radios trying
to remove the solder from the pads. The radio is really packed inside and
those pads are quite small.
Good luck and don't forget to follow the instructions about resetting the
processor.

I have a Motorola S-1320-A signal generator, also from Boonton, NJ,
which may be similar to the S-1318-A, and I also want a repair
manual. Motorola told me the part number for the manual (68-81061A75,
if anybody cares), but they say it's not available any more. If
anybody knows where I can get one, please let me know!
If you call Motorola's parts identification department at
(708) 538-0021, they may be able to tell you the part number for your
S-1318-A manual, in case that helps you find it.
Sorry about the "me, too!" posting. :-)

Subject: Problems with MFJ 962C 1.5 KW tuner
I purchased a MFJ 962C antenna tuner for its high power rating and
low cost. The tuner looks ok although it does not have a quality feel.
Its capacitors have large spacings, the balun is enormous in size and
the open wire connectors probably can withstand 10KV!
Unfortunately switches are small, and one that switches the coil
sparks badly on 80m at 200W. The sparking is between the hottest wire
(useful for 10m) and one of the bolts. I eliminated it by unsoldering
that wire (10m is gone now). Also, the SWR meter works accurately up
to 14 MHz but definitely not on 21! Perhaps it can be retuned.
You get what you pay for, and quality tuners of that kind retail for
at least two times more. I am wondering whether this tuner (and
perhaps other MFJ products) should be regarded as assembled pieces of
parts, where extra work is needed to make them work fine.
Just to avoid busting MFJ, their keyer/bencher combination that I
purchased at the same time works very well.

After performing the diode mod on my TH-79, I got 420-470 rx

anyone know why this happened or if there is any other keystrokes
besides a reset I need to perform to get the full coverage the
mod is suppose to provide.

Spurs can be in band as well as out of band, so a bandpass filter
isn't a cure. If you can't find someone with a spectrum analyzer
to check it, there are ways to do it with cruder equipment. They
can be tedious though. Generally, you can tune using a frequency
selective detector, and a wideband detector. If the readings don't
match, you've got spurs. To find them, you can use a wide range
tunable receiver to hunt for them. The FCC wants spurs to be 60 db
down from the main carrier, so sensitive detectors are a must.
